PADI Open Water Diver Course
Diver certification begins here. Start with PADI's online eLearning course. Move to the pool and practice your new skills. Then experience four open water dives in either the spring or gulf.

Course Requirements:
- Must be at least 10 years old (10-14-year-old receive the PADI JR Open Water Diver certification)
- Must be in good health and comfortable in the water.
- Must be able to swim 200 yards and float for 10 minutes
- Have an enthusiastic attitude and want to have FUN!
Materials and Equipment Needed:

- PADI Open Water Diver eLearning
- PADI RDP tables
- PADI Student Slate
- PADI Logbook
Equipment Needed:
- Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Mask scrub and defog solution
Cost varies depending on what pieces of equipment fit your specific needs. Please make an appointment with our staff for a personal fitting prior to your first class. Rental of your exposure suit, buoyancy control device, regulator system, cylinders, weight system with weights are all included in your store fees.
Course Scheduling:
Getting certified is simple as one, two, three!
Step One:
Orientation: To start, give us a call, so our staff can plan spending about two hours with you. During that time, we will go over course logistics, paperwork, equipment fitting and equipment purchases.
Classroom: During the one classroom session, we will cover important topics like Safety Concepts, how to use the RDP Tables and how to put the equipment together.
Step Two:
Pool: At the pool sessions, we will go over basic skills you will need to learn how to scuba dive safely. We usually do this in two sessions of four to five hours each.
Step Three:
Open Water Dives: At the open water, (spring or gulf), you will complete four dives over two days. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the prestigious PADI Open Water Diver certification. Your Instructor may adjust the schedule according to weather and conditions.
