Emergency First Response® primary and secondary care training teaches you what to do in the critical moments between when a life-threatening emergency occurs and when emergency medical services arrive. Learn how to perform CPR, provide first aid that eases pain, assess a variety of injuries and illnesses and practice bandaging and splinting.

We offer three different courses in EFR training. The main course is the Primary and Secondary First Response course. This course covers both CPR/AED and First Aid training. The second course is like the first one but set up for providing CPR/AED and First Aid to children and infants, it is call Care For Children. The third course is an abbreviated course which contains CPR and AED only.

Primary and Secondary Emergency First Response Course

Course Requirements:

There is no age limit. However, you should be able to understand the material.

Materials and Equipment Needed:

Materials Needed

  • You will need to purchase the EFR eLearning to complete your class.

Equipment Required

  • You will need your own resuscitation mask and bandage pack.

Course Scheduling:

Your course includes one 4-hour classroom session, which includes learning about Basic Life Support, CPR and rescue breathing; Automated External Defibrillator use; Preventing and caring for shock and spinal injury management; Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk; Basic first aid; First aid kit components.

Emergency First Response Care For Children

Course Requirements:

  • There is no age limit. However, you should be able to understand the material.

You will need to purchase the book and video to complete your class.

Equipment Required

You will need your own resuscitation mask.

Course Scheduling:

Your course includes one 4-hour classroom session, which includes learning about Basic Life Support, CPR and rescue breathing; Automated External Defibrillator use; Preventing and caring for shock and spinal injury management; Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk; Basic first aid; First aid kit components. All of these skills are taught for both children and infants.
